Current site
EricJourgensen.com does not use advertising or behavioral tracking. Clicking an email link opens your own email application. External services you choose to visit, including Substack, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and third-party form or verification providers, operate under their own privacy policies.
Interactive WATER Check
Text responses in a WATER Check are stored in local browser storage on your device so an unfinished check can be restored there. The site does not send those text responses to a server. Use “Start a new check” in the app to clear the saved text.
When you select an image, WATER first previews it in your browser. The image leaves your device only when you explicitly choose a feature that requires external processing. Choosing Analyze image sends the selected image to the site’s Cloudflare Worker and Cloudflare Workers AI for one-time analysis. Choosing Trace this image sends the selected image through the site’s Worker to Google Cloud Vision Web Detection to look for possible matches and source clues. WATER does not intentionally persist uploaded images. External service providers may process request data under their own terms and policies.
EITYWT and WATER feedback survey
The feedback form is processed by FormSubmit and forwarded by email rather than written directly to a database on this website. The form asks for information about the respondent and the materials reviewed so feedback can be interpreted in context. Name and email are optional for adults unless needed for a selected attribution or follow-up option. Respondents who indicate they are under 18 are not asked for a name or email and are not offered identifiable promotional-use permission in this survey.
Permission to quote feedback is separate from submitting feedback. A response may be used to improve the project whether or not permission to quote it is granted. Public attribution is limited to the option the adult respondent selected. FormSubmit states that form submissions may be retained temporarily by its service; see FormSubmit’s privacy information for its current practices.
Book promotion requests
The letter-and-sticker form collects your name, email, mailing address, book format, optional personalization name, and receipt. These are stored privately with Cloudflare R2 so Eric can verify purchases and fulfill requests. Receipts are not sent to WATER or AI services, are not sold, and are not shared with anyone other than the service providers required to store them. Submitting a request does not subscribe you to marketing emails and does not require a review. Please redact payment details, order numbers, and unrelated purchases before uploading.
Request records and receipts remain on file until Eric deletes them through the private fulfillment page. You may request correction or deletion by emailing ejourgensen@gmail.com. Downloaded fulfillment copies must also be deleted separately. Cloudflare processes network information to protect the submission endpoint, including temporary rate limiting.
Website analytics
Public pages use Metricool to measure website visits and understand which social posts bring visitors to this site. Its tracker sends the page URL, referring page when available, and browser window dimensions to Metricool; Metricool also uses network information to estimate geographic activity. Metricool states that this tracker does not use cookies. Tracking is excluded from the private book-promotion administration and reader thank-you pages. Infrastructure
The hosting and security provider may process routine network and server information required to deliver and protect the site. If additional analytics, newsletters, accounts, databases, or other data-collecting features are added, this notice will be updated to describe them.
